about

This is a song that I've had as a completed piece for a while now, but finally got around to recording it. Most of the parts really didn't come about until the recording process started, though.

lyrics

I slow beside your bells and armory, a fire in front of me.
I'm cold, but all the light that I can see only seems to be
Dirt and rust and salted memories.
So I unfold my arms and try to breathe.

You came to me a bear.
The amber of your eyes giving weight to morning's air.
You came to me a bear.
Before I ever held you there.

I see all of my drowsy mumblings and aimless stumblings.
I breathe to see me fingers slendering, a blurry rendering.
All that's lost's still worth remembering.
So sleep my dear and carve yourself a dream.

You came to me a bird.
And nakedly exposed the only voice I've ever heard.
You came to me a bird.
And bandaged me with every word.
