This is my first piece of the art exchange. I tried a different approach this time by writing the music first, recording it all, then filling in the lyrics later. It made for a lot of nonsense. If you find meaning in the song, great! Super! Mostly, I really like the ukulele part and wanted to try to do something with it. It was an experiment in making an upbeat song because, damnit, I like to dance and I want to make people dance.
lyrics
I say I will
I say I will
I swear I will
I say I will
But what of my friends?
I'm still alive
I haven't died
and so I will try
Nothing at all
Nothing at all
Nothing at all
I'm hearing you breath
and so I can see
a weight upon me
and so I believe
Nothing at all
On and on again we have got to get off
You're talking to me like I am a lost endeavor
On again we have got to get off
Finding a cure and I don't need a cause
My eyes have gone dry
So while I'm alive
I will not cry
or say that I'll find
Nothing at all
Nothing at all
Nothing at all
I said I will
I said I will
I said I will
I said I will
